West Suffolk Symphonic Wind Band

The West Suffolk Symphonic Wind Band (WSSWB) was founded in 2024 with the goal of providing a platform for musicians seeking to perform in a high-quality wind ensemble.

The band has quickly distinguished itself with the quality of a professional wind band despite its recent inception. Under the direction of Rob Head, a director and conductor, whose notable leadership with the Bury St Edmunds Concert Band has adeptly prepared him to steer this vibrant new ensemble.

WSSWB stands out as more than just a typical wind band; it brings together both amateur and semi-professional musicians from across the East of England, all united by a passion for music. With Rob’s artistic direction, the ensemble aims to push the boundaries of wind band performance, striving for excellence on both the national and international stages.
