Vocalis

Vocalis is a popular and sociable chamber choir in the beautiful spa town of Harrogate. We are a choir of 40 mixed voices singing a capella and accompanied pieces from a range of repertoire, including classical, early music, romantic and classical. Our Musical Director is James Savage-Hanford. James enjoys a varied career as a singer, conductor, and musicologist. We rehearse at Harrogate High School on Monday evenings 7.30 to 9.30pm. Applications from all voice parts are welcome and we maintain a waiting list.
In addition to full membership, we have a choral scholarship scheme for singers 25 and under whether students, unwaged or in work. We welcome enquiries from singers in all voice parts to this scheme which provides free membership and the opportunity to sing with a lively and experienced group of singers with an inspirational musical director.
