Bass

Vacancy Type:
Application deadline:
Tuesday, 31 December 2024
Description of vacancy:

Twyford Singers (Hampshire) recently completed our 50th Anniversary celebrations with other choirs forming the Hampshire Choral Festival (HCF) in a very moving performance of Fauré's Requiem and Jenkins' “Stabat Mater” in Romsey Abbey. Earlier in the year, we performed Freedom! The Power of Song accompanied by composer Alexander L'Estrange's “Call me Al” Quintet.

In September, we will begin rehearsing for our Spring Concert in St Cross Chapel in March and for the Hampshire Choral Festival concert in the Anvil in May,. This year's repertoire will feature works by Baroque composers for our own concert and Verdi's Requiem with the HCF.

We are a welcoming group of non-auditioned singers who meet every Tuesday from 7.30-9.30 pm at Shawford Parish Hall, SO21 2AA. Our rehearsals are led by our Musical Director David Hall, and we would love to have more people join us.

We welcome singers to try us out before committing to the choir, so if you just want to come and sing with us then please do get in touch: we would love to meet you! We will have an open rehearsal on 24th September where we will sing Vivaldi Gloria.   We will follow that rehearsal with a glass of wine or a soft drink.  All voices are welcome, although we would especially welcome a few more basses.
