Harpenden Choral Society is delighted to present the opening concert of the season featuring Bach’s Mass in B Minor. The concert will be conducted by the choir’s Musical Director, John Andrews with Soprano soloists Lucy Farrimond and Susanna Fairburn, Alto Olivia Ray, Tenor Robert Forrest and Bass Tim Nelson with accompaniment by the King’s Sinfonietta Orchestra.
Bach's Mass in B minor is often hailed as one of the greatest musical achievements of all time. Written towards the end of his life, it is a monumental work that encapsulates the composer's genius in a way that few other pieces can match.
